Just a suggestion for an issue of SWAT:
We here talk all day and night about what tactics we would (hopefully) use when meeting up with a BG, or an intruder, or an act of terrorism. We talk about the tools that we would use, the combonations(sp) and such.
Yet, we tend to forget about other drills or tactics for other dangers. Something that Denny said really struck out to me:
Quote:
However, I would like to point out that my former training and the fire drills we conducted as a family paid huge dividends here. Let this be a reminder to us all that the old adage, "we train like we fight, and we fight like we train" goes way beyond the use of firearms.

I am most grateful that Denny and his family are still here with us, I really enjoy reading his Briefing Room notes.
I know that he knows that he and his family aren't alone with their loss and that we all will always be with them, either in person if able or in spirit if not.

*to say, I'm really not good at saying things during times like this.
