The only thing I can reason is that there is a bit of grit in the die.
Silly question but have you cleaned it lately?
Perhaps a shot or two of brake cleaner into the die with the expander plug out followed by a blast of compressed air and a bit of case lube then try again.
Never found Lapua brass to be wanting in any way
