So I got a hold of Granite Safe today, and they sent me an updated warranty card for the safe. The one that was in it was outdated. They used to only offer 5 year warranties on some of their smaller safes, but have now changed it to the normal limited lifetime that you commonly see with most safes.
They have also included an option to warranty the lock itself for 9 extra years (normally 1 year), for an additional $50.
I went ahead an purchased the safe, and feel good about it.
What is everyone's thought on the extra $50 for the lock warranty? Worth it?
I might purchase it since that is normally what goes wrong.
