Hello. I have a CZ527 in .223 Remington. I've had it a couple of years or so and it has the synthetic stock that was available for a short time, though I don't believe my gun is called "American." I'm sure that the basic gun is the same. My CZ rifle(s) have all been accurate and reliable as has the 527. The adjustable trigger allows for a very nice trigger although it's not the equal of a Remington 700. The gun's been reliable and its "mini- Mauser" controlled round feed system has not failed. With selected handloads, mine will do about 3/4" at 100 yards for three shots, but will cut that figure in half with Winchester factory 50 gr "BallisticSilvertips." I think that these little guns are really neat and mine is not for sale. The only negative is that on my older gun the safety works in reverse of what we Americans are used to, ie: forward is safe and rearward to fire. Best.
