No offence to all those copies and imitations but none of them are 1911s. The Model 1911 was the .45 automatic that army used to have on issue. Colt makes reference to the Model 1911 but they didn't list such a model for sale, the last time I looked. They have the Government Model. And as you all know, in the army everyone called the .45 autos. It was actually referred to as an automatic pistol, too, not a semi-automatic pistol, which probably disturbs some people.
