I've had one since 2003 in my Land Cruiser. Dunno if they've changed materials, but mine is not burglar proof. That said, I doubt there's anything out there but steel construction that's gonna stand up to a pry bar; not to mention a portable drill on the lock.

Still, they have to break into the truck first.

I really like the TV for storage of all manner of stuff, including guns. Be aware, however, that you'll curse it from time to time: On a road trip, when you'd just as soon throw the rear seats down and sack out in the back of your truck; when you have need to haul something a bit oversized.
