Don't be too hasty. Find someone to let you shoot their Glock 29. It is the compact 10mm from Glock and it is pretty easy to shoot. The thick grip really spreads the energy out very effectively. I find it very comfortable to shoot.
I have the Dan Wesson 1911 10mm and the Glock 29 and I really like both of them. I plan on adding the Colt Delta Elite 10mm to my collection soon.
