my range has a yellow line at 21 feet, which I'm not sure is a recommendation or the min distance. However, personally shooting any closer isn't much of a challenge. Matter of fact, neither is the 21 feet, feels too close to me. Chances are if you can group back at 25 yards, you'll do just fine at 21 feet and less.
