I've also read good things about Redfield (they used to be the standard) but haven't used any of them. Bushnell used to be a good low priced scope (their Banner line) but for not a lot more now you can get a Nikon, Redfield or a Leopold Rifleman. Hold on for another month (give or take) there will be sales going on. Hunting season is right around the corner. I would look for a Redfield or Leopold myself. The Leopolds are very good, pricey (but worth it).
