Installing a cartridge converter
I'm thinking about installing a Kirst .45 Schofield converter with loading gate in one of my Pietta 1860 Colts. Who here has done that and what kind of work is involved in opening up a loading slot in the frame? I'm not afraid to go after the frame with a file if that's all it takes, but if it requires machinery, that makes me a little more apprehensive.
