You should be concerned, hearing doesn't come back. I'm borderline on my hearing right now, if I fail another one I'll have to work in an office. Best advice I've heard is to wear plugs AND muffs when in high nose environments, before you get to the loud noises. It's really sucks having to listen to that high pitched ring all the time.
