Those higher lumen lights look neat, brighter is good. I would definitely use the 18650 rechargeable batteries though. I use my lights almost everyday and buying cases of CR123 batteries all the time gets expensive. Lithium CR123 batteries in a weapon mounted light that isn't used much is okay though.
