I'd forgotten the bit about break-in...

On the bit about the wood stocks, I was in accord in principle of the advantages of fiberglass, but aesthetics play a large part for me...(On my two "critical" rifles, the advantage of owning 30-year old rifles is that the available wood in them thar days was a lot denser grade of walnut than is generally found now. Less affected by humidity changes.)
