most people on here know i despise kimbers due to reliability issues.
i don't have experience with the sig 1911's. from what i've heard, the early gsr series had a lot of problems, but the newer ones aren't bad. personally i'd go with a company with a little more positive 1911 history, like colt, springer, dan wesson, or the custom shops.
