Clean your gun very thoroughly after shooting Pyrodex. Wet cleaning with detergent, soluble oil, or moose milk formula. Pyrodex is MORE corrosive than black powder as a number of shooters have found out to their surprise, thinking that if it didn't gum up the works as bad, it wouldn't rust them as much.
