You might want to re-think that option.
I have taken a couple of classes from LEOs on defensive shooting and if you are shooting two thumbs forward as is popular today, it is pretty easy to inadvertently drop the magazine with the heel of your left hand if you are right handed.
When I was being instructed, I was amazed how easy it is for that to happen.
If you are talking about a range gun, then no problem.
Anyway, welcome to the dark side. I have four Glocks and only had the extended mag release on one and that has since been replaced.
Hope you are happy with your other options. I think you will really enjoy the guns. They are not pretty but they sure do work.
