Your guess is as good as mine on that point. But I believe Colt would introduce a .357 Magnum first to test the waters. The .44 Magnum market seems pretty well sewed up by Smith & Wesson and Ruger. Maybe a .45 Colt revolver to reintroduce the name Colt to sixgunners.
It is doubtful Colt could make a comeback against the L-Framed and N-Framed Smiths, and such revovlers as the Python and Diamondback are not likely to be seen again at affordable prices.
Maybe so re-introducing something like the Colt Cowboy to get into the cowboy action shooting game.
The New Model Rugers have departed from the cowboy action mode, maybe Colt might edge one in there.
