Once you see real ivory, you'll always remember the feel and look. I'm sure that it's plastic of some type, but the way to tell for sure it to take them off the revolver and touch the inside with a hot needle. If the smoke smells like plastic, well, it's plastic. If the smoke smells like burnt hair, it's ivory. Having said that, it's plastic.
