A 10x magnification is not the problem when shooting at 100 yards. It is a capable magnification for shooting all the way out to 1,000 yards.

I would recommend to keep shooting at 100 until you are shooting MOA and smaller groups, then move on out. That will mean that your trigger control, breathing, and equipment are all working together.
