I shoot an old Model 12, choked tighter than a nun's kiss. My other gun is an LC Smith SBT and it is tighter yet.
These old trap guns were choked in the day of fiber wads, not shot cups.
I let the bird get out a bit before I break it. Shooting them close to the house is either a smoke ball or a miss.
A tight choke from the 16 will improve your scores.......eventually.
