Very minor regret, but I still remember, so . . . American Derringer chambered in .45 Auto Rim.
I liked the idea of a shortish cartridge for a longer effective barrel length, and the rimmed case allowed for a working ejector rather than having to poke the empties out with a pen or other tool.
I'd seen it at a gun show, returned the following month with cash in hand, and the table was gone.
