Actually, I like the 7mm-08 better than the 270 win but they don't come in a package deal. I asked about the deal hoping that somebody would have one and could give me an exact weight for comparison to lightweight rifles all scoped up & ready to go.
As far as "learning to deal with recoil" goes, I think my 500 S&W is a pretty good teacher
