I had a full match Springfield with every option except the rear lug. It was a beauty and I thought the world of it. Unfortunately, I could outscore it using an above average AR-15 with A2 and 20" barrel.
I used Sierra 168 grain Match Kings in the M1A and 69 grain Match Kings in the AR at 200 and 600 yards. The M1A wouldn't shoot with the AR (both with iron sights). I was pretty disappointed.
The nice thing about the M1A is that I gave $1940 with extra mags ten years ago. I sold it this year for $1940. I can't complain.
