It seems to me that, slowly but surely, a line is being drawn in the sand.

I have always labored under the impression that a cop in uniform was more or less obligated by custom, if not regulation to go almost anywhere he wants while armed. (With obvious exceptions such as airplanes, etc.)
Sounds like some more silly political correctness. It really doesn't make much sense either. So it is O.K. to see the Police Chief armed on the street but it somehow becomes not O.K. to see him armed in a store. Are the Police also now required to leave their guns outside when dealing with a crime in a store which prohibits guns? The whole situation is absurd.
