Back to the spoon compensator, anyone know why this gun might have one when the barrels are already ported?

Answer:

The easy reason is that the shooter wanted more anti-lift action than the ported barrels provided. But, I doubt this is the case.
Remember, the barrel weight suggests this is a tubed Skeet gun. As many Skeet shooters have found out, ported barrels are fine when shooting the 12-ga; but, when you install the tubes, the barrel lift is back. The spoon compensator is primarily to reduce barrel lift when shooting the 20-ga tubes. With the 28-ga and .410-bore tubes, lift isn't a significant problem.
