There is a bill to be considered by the Tompkins County Legislature to allow rifle hunting for deer beginning the 2012 season. If you are a New Yorker who lives and/or hunts Tompkins County, please contact the legislator to voice your support.

The bill has been passed by the County Public Safety Committee. I believe it still has to be passed by the full body of the legislature. It is scheduled to be brought up at the meeting on February 21st. You presence at that meeting as a resident of Tompkins County would be GREAT!
