Looking at the facts, everything will depend on the AWB legislation.

IF AWB legislation passes, which there is not enough support in the house based upon 2A supporters elected there, then the world of the AR COULD forever be changed. It will depend on WHAT legislation is actually passed. The initial volley from Feinstein is just that. Chances are that IF it passes, there would be some chopping on it before the final vote.

Now, if NO AWB legislation passes, then this WILL die down at some point. This hysteria is not unprecedented. Look at threads from 2008 and you will see the SAME themes as today: skyrocketed AR prices, ammo gone, reloading components scarce, forecasts that it would never be the same.

Guess what? It settled down and people were buying ARs for $600 until a couple months ago.

It will all hinge upon the legislation.
