Many years ago I read an article about out-of-the-box accuracy of modern .22 rifles,,,
The ruger 10-22 ranked near the bottom.
it is the rifle with the most aftermarket parts,,,
And can be made into a very accurate rifle,,,
But only by replacing all major parts.
The word Best does not apply at all,,,
Maybe favorite is a more precise term.
For out of the box accuracy and general performance,,,
I will put a Marlin Model 60 or my Mossberg 702 against any 10-22 ever delivered.
Not ragging the Ruger 10-22,,,
Just not buying into the popular myth.
