Let's not confuse stupidity with clumsiness…
I was at the other end in a similar situation. I have a bad back, and it went out just as I was putting my gun in the rack between rounds. I knocked my P-gun and a teammate's K-gun to the deck. It blemished the stocks of both guns. They both had JS Air Cushion stocks on them. And, as luck would have it, Joe Shiozaki (JS) was at the shoot. After the last event I took the guns to him and had him put fixing both guns on my bill. I didn't see a more viable option.
