The only long gun I'm aware of shooting both .45 Colts and .410 is the Rossi Circuit Judge.

You're son does have an excellent gun though. I have an H&R made Bridge Black Prince in .410 and it was my first shotgun. It's from the '30s if I remember right. Functions perfect.
