Ain't that the truth.
I fired a friend's Glock 33 a while back. I likened it to firing a 2-1/2" S&W M19 revolver loaded with 125gr Magnums; recoil was very snappy but IMHO quite controllable and not abusive. However, BOY did that gun spit big fireballs and make some serious noise!
Other people on the firing line start walking over to our station to see what we were shooting.
I really liked it, but a subcompact gun chambered in this cartridge definitely isn't for everybody.
