D-d-d-damn, Ok, some of those rounds are like $1-$1.25 per...

Do not see myself investing a grand in ammo anytime soon.

I may fill a few mags with some high dollar high power, probably will not pile any up though.

I asked in another thread, never got a response, how long should I be able to keep the magpul poly mags full without damage to the spring?
Yes, they are.

But you can just use XM193 or XM855 and get quite a bit of improvement in terminal performance of just straight .223 pressure FMJ rounds for not a lot if any more cost.

The most important things are annealed case shoulders, a cannelure where the case neck meets the cartridge (2 reasons it keeps the bullet from setting back in the case and it weakens the bullet so it is more likely to fragment when it tumbles), and is it accurate in your rifle at the ranges you might need to shoot it.

5.56 pressure is better than .223 pressure because the bullet is faster but the other things are more important in my opinion based on my research.
