It’s been 10 yrs since I last ordered anything from gunbroker but if memory serves me correctly, I had to give credit card info only to confirm my identity when I registered for an account. I believe they do this to ensure fraudulent accounts don’t populate their site. It’s a security measure pure and simple. I trust gunbroker more than armslist
