Thanks, in the meantime I spoke with Beretta, and my pin was not
supposed to drop as it did. He told me to tap it back into place, and sand
off the polymer that got roughed up.
If it should happen again, Beretta will either send me another pin or replace the gun I was told. He said the hollow pin is made of spring steel, and is suppose to expand and stay in place when originally inserted in factory.
Happy for the response from Beretta, the gentleman seemed to care that I had a problem. Thanks to BerettaUSA.
