The Hornady reloading manual burning rate chart shows H-414 to be a tad slower than W-760. Winchester data shows 760 to be suitable in the 30-30 Win. My Hodgden's manuals give no data for H-414 in the 30-30
I have heard, or read someplace, that H-414 and W-760 were really the same powders, just different lots. I would think that you could carefully start with 760 data and slowly work up. If I had some 414, I'd try it just to see if that was correct.
I've never used 760 in the 30-30, much preferring W-748.
I just looked in the Speer Manual #13. For the 170 Gr. bullet in 30-30, the max loads for H-414 and W-760 are the same. 35.0 gr. Velocity for H-414, 1926 fps max, and W-760, 1946 fps max. That was for a 20 inch carbine. Wonder what that would do in a 26 inch barreled rifle I have.????????
BTW. Those loads duplicate the original 1895 loading of the 30-30.
Hope that helps.
