The minute I see someone shooting .357s fairly accurately and quickly out of any J-frame with one hand, I'll change my mind. Until then, a j-frame is a .38, no matter if it's chambered for .357 or not.
My 60 is a .38 special 2". It has a hammer, so I don't wear it crossdraw or in appendix position. It works well in a Mika pocket holster with regular-pressure .38s. For a belt gun, I'll take 7+ rounds of 9mm +P and a good trigger, or one of my GP-100s that probably shoots better with my eyes closed than a J-frame does with the sights lined up.
