I've seen some all steel 20ga 8 rnd extensions on Ebay and Auctionarms. Claimed they were Choate manufactured.

http://www.tanksrifleshop.com/ lists an Choate extension for the Rem 1100 LT 20ga, which may fit the 870. It's worth checking out.
