Since you want to hunt with it also I would suggest a 500. The 590 is a good gun, but not best suited for hunting. I've got two 590s a 20"bbl and a 14"bbl and two 500s a 12ga and a 20ga and have never had a problem with them. The 12ga 500 I've been using since 1979.
