I've rebarrelled 3-4 Savage BA rifles w/o much problem. Getting the barrel nut loose may be the most difficult part of the job. I didn't even go to the expense of using gauges-just used a box of factory cartridges. Worked fine but I can't recommend this practice for others.
Best advice to stay within similar case head and lenght parameters. Saves time and parts costs.
