Not to start a big P-ing contest, but it looks like the recoil lug mortise is not rectangular all the way down, it looks like it has a small-ring Mauser type recoil lug mortise. In addition, it looks like it has a Springfield-type front receiver ring that sticks out towards the right with no corresponding swell to the left like a large-ring 98 would have. The inletting looks kind of strange, as well. The magazine box looks kind of short and wide to be a Mauser as well. Just not very convincing as a large-ring Mauser stock.
