I agree, the WWI is more correct, but is not right either.
No, a WW1 M1911 should have a long trigger. The short trigger was on of the A1 changes.

The WW2 pistol, though, is a mixmaster. It's not just aftermarket sights, it's a replacement, commercial slide and the whole pistol appears to have been buffed and refinished. If you want something for the collection, get the WW1 and start searching for a flat, smooth mainspring housing.
