It depends on the gun. Small pocket pistols might only see 50 rounds a week until I'm satified with them. DAO pistols and revolvers only 100 to 150 rounds a week. Semi-auto SA or SA/DA pistols get a lot more. Those get 300 to 500 rounds a week. Some pistols are just more fun to shoot than others are. .22 semi-auto pistols normally get 500 rounds a week by me. After break in and having fun with a new pistol is over I may reduce the amount I will shoot them by half on future trips to the range. Sometimes that new factor takes more than a month to get over.
