Tracking "age" of brass

Hi Guys,
I'm reloading for .308 precision shooting. I know that eventually I'll have to buy Norma or Lapua brass, but I've got a couple thousands of FGMM cases to use for now.

I've shot some of them twice and some only once so I can still tell the difference. Now I'm thinking about a system to track how many times they are reloaded. I was thinking of a color coding system whereby a would put a little dot of nail polish on the primer, since there are so many colors the case would go to scrap long before I ran out of colors. But I'm afraid that the nail polish would get blown off or cause some other problem in the action.

What system do you guys use?
