BTW - Both of those rifles take the same cartridge. (1873/.44cal = .44WCF = .44.40)

Interestingly, Winchester continued to make/sell the Model 73 long after the Model 92 was introduced - and in most of the same chamberings ! (The M92 wasn't available in .22LR)
Even though the Browning-designed M92 action was stronger/lighter/etc, their customers preferred the older model.

With both models, as a used gun today, the larger the caliber - the higher the resale value.
