I dont shoot my "real" duty ammo at a range.
my carry ammo is JHP +P and just what I want when it counts.
Do I practice with it? Occasionally. Just to keep up to speed.
9 out of 10 times I use range ammo at the range, Its 1/3 the cost and just as effective on paper targets as the JHP rounds are against live bodies. ie. it makes holes in it. Oh yeah, and I buy my range ammo in 500 count boxes as well, makes running out a LOT harder.
