As for a good SD 9MM round, I like Speer Gold Dot 124gr.
Also, todays 9mm ammo has come along way in the past 5-7yrs. Heck I still like the 127gr Hydro Shocks.

If you decide against the Sig., maybe a used 9mm in a Berreta f series.
