I participated in my first ELR last weekend, had a great time!! 6 targets from 600 yards to 1 mile, 10 minutes of pure adrenaline. The masters of the event used bolt action precision rifles, .308 and up. I used a .50 semi, (only rifle) and had a respectable score.

For those that shoot out to a mile, what rifle and ammo do you use?
