This is another one of those things that goes both ways ( barrel break in). I think I shoot more than most here
. I run about 300 to 400 rounds a weekend all through the summer. I am in the cleaning every 50 rounds group. Not that I have seen my accuracy dip,but just because that is what I was shown growing up. I don't think I could be one to do the test as I am OCD on some of this stuff.
I think I go through more patches in a month than some do in years.
