Lease agreements are contracts, between the landlord and the tenant. In general, insofar as I have been led to believe, "A man's home is his castle" applies to rented residences. Your rented house or apartment is your castle and
under the law the landlord can't enter without your express permission except for emergency situations.
If you sign away your right to the privacy of your castle, that's waiving your basic rights under the law.
