"The screws in the reciever that hold the trigger group in are slighly damaged. I think its from the previous owner not using the correct size driver to strip his gun."
If you are refering to the trigger plate screw (there's only one), then it's more likely that it was taken apart by someone who didn't know that you have to take the stock off first. (That screw doesn't have to be done up tightly.)
